AN ORDINANCE AMMING SECTION 240 OF THE )TNICIPAL CODE OF THE
CITY OF GILROYr :ESTABLISHING THE FIRE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
G I LROY.
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy do ordain as
follows: -
Section 1.
That Section 240 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Gilroy be amended to read aw - follows;!
The Fire Limits within the City of Gilroy shall comprise
the blocks and parts of blocks herein hamed, to -wit:
Commencing at a point in the center of Third Street 150 feet
Westerly from where the Westerly line of PJTonterey Street intersects
the center line of Third Street; thence running Easterly along the
center line of Third Street to a point where said line would if
protracted intersect the center line of Monterey Street; thence
Southerly along the center line of Monterey Street to a point where
the center line of Lewis Street, would if protracted intersect the
center line of Monterey Street; thence Easterly to and along the
center line of Lewis Street to a point where the center line of
Lewis Street intersects the center line of the Southern Pacific
Railroad track; thence Southerly to a point where the railroad
track intersects with the Slough; thence Westerly along the center
line of said Slough to a point 150 feet Uest of Monterey Street;
thence Northerly along a line parallel with the Westerly line of
Monterey Street to the point 107 feet South of the Southerly line
of Fifth Street; thence at right angles Westerly to the center line
of Eli leberry Street; thence Northerly and along the center line
of tree* 222 feet; thence at right angles Easterly to a
point 150 feet Westerly of the '4esterly line of Monterey Street,
and thence Northerly and parallel to the Westerly line of Monterey
Street to the point of beginning.
S#ction 11.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here -
witti are hereby repealed.
