CITY OF GILROY OR TO OBSTRUCT OR IMPAIR THE USE 1HEREO9.
The 11ayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy
do ordain as follows : -
Section I.
That the 1Iunicipal Code of the City of Gilroy be amended
by adding thereto a new Section to be known as Section 421,
which Section shall read as follows : -
Section 421. It shall be unlawful for any person
a. to break, remove or injure any part or appurtenance of
the fire alarm system of the City of Gilroy.
b. to have in his possession or under his control any key
belonging to or fitted to omen the lock of any signal box
of the fire alarm system without permission of the Chief
of the Fire Department of the City of Gilroy.
c. To put or place, or suffer to be or remain upon any street
or sidewalk, any article or thing whatsoever that will in
in any manner abstruct, hinder or interfere with the free
access or approach to any signal box of the fire alarm system.
d, to run, erect or maintain any wire crossing any wire of the
fire alarm system within a distance of ten inches, or to
run, erect or maintain any wire parallel or approximately
parallel with any wire of the fire alarm system and voith.in
a distance of ten inches therefrom,
It shall be unlawful for any person or corporation owning or
controlling any land along or near the lines of said fire alarm

system to allow any branch or limb of any tree or vine growing
on said land to be or remain within a distance of two feet from
any wire of said system.
The breaking of the glass in a fire alarm signal box in order
to turn in an alarm of fire shall not be construed as a violation
of subdt *#ision "a" of this Section.
II.
This Ordinance shall tkke effect and be in force from and
after its passage and approval.
