ORDINANCE NO. 129
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SALE OF UNINSPECTED MEATS
IN THE CITY OF GILROY.
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy do
ordain as follows:
sect~on 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm
or corporation, or agent or employee of any person, firm or corpora-
tion, to sell, or exchange for other thing, or value, within the
City of Gilroy, any beef, veal, mutton, pork or meat food product
for haman cons~ption, unless such beef, veal, mutton, pork or meat
food product shall first have been inspected by an agent of the Cali-
fornia Department of Agriculture in accordance with the terms of the
California Meat Inspection Law, Chapter 732, Statutes of 1921, and
ahall bear the stamp "Cal::l:fornia Inspected and passed" or "u. S.
Inspected and passed" or a stamp of an approved municipal market in-
spection department.
