Ordinance 317 r ORDINANCE NO. 317. AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND PERMITTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA THE USE OF FIRST S'l'IlEET FROM THE WESTERLY LINE OF MONTEREY STREET TO THE EASTERLY LINE OF HANNA STREET, AND THE BODFISH HIIJL ROAD FROM THE FASTERLY LIN1~ OF HANNA STllEET TO THE WESTERLY LD.IITS OF THE CITY OF GILROY FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING nfEREON A HIGHWAY. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy do ordain as follows: Section I. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara is hereby permitted the use of First Street from the \ Westerly line of Monterey Street to the Easterly line of Hanna Street and the Bodfish Mill Road from the Easterly line of Hanna Street to the Westerly limits of the City of Gilroy, a distance of 2700 feet, tor the purpose of constructing thereon a highway, as part of a County and State System of roads. Section II. The BOard of Supervisors of said County of Santa Clara shall have power hereunder to pav.e said highway in such manner as it may determine, the cost thereof to be paid out of the " I I \, I General Fund of the County Treasury of said County of Santa Clara, but neither the said Board of Supervisors nor said County of Santa Clara shall be under any obligation after the paving of said streets is completed to further in:ppove or maintain said highway. Section III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in { ~ I \ force from and after its passage and approval.
