AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBDIVISION NO. 5 OF SECTION 240 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF GILROY RELATIVE TO THE FIRE LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF GILROY.
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy do ordain
as follows:
Section I.
That Subdivision 5 of Section 240 of the Municipal Code of
the City of Gilroy be amended to read as follows:
Sub. 5. The fire limits of the City of Gilroy shall comprise
the blocks and parts of blocks herein named, viz: Commencing at a
point in the center of Third Street 150 feet westerly from ^where tree
westerly line of Monterey Street intersects the center line of Third
Street; thence northerly and parallel with the westerly line of Monterey
Street to the center line of Second Street; thence easterly and along the
center line of Second Street to the center line of Monterey Street;
thence southerly and along the center line of Monterey Street to where
the northerly line of I. 0. 0. F. Avenue, if projected westerly would
intersect the center line of Monterey Street; thence easterly and along
the northerly line of I. 0. 0. F. Avenue and the westerly prolongation
thereof to the center line of the Southern Pacific Company Railroad
Track; thence southerly and along the center line of the Southern Pacific
rail tracks to a point where the railroad track intersects the center
line of a slough south of the Southern Pacific depot; thence westerly
along the center line of said slough to a point 150 feet west of
Monterey Street; thence northerly along a line parallel with the westerly
line of Monterey Street to the point of beginning.
Section It.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its papsa$e and approval. �.
