An ordinance authorizing and permitting the Board of Super-
visors of the County of Santa Para the use of the Leavesley Road
from the center line of Monterey Street to the Easterly limits of
the City of Gilroy, for the purpose of constructing thereon a high-
way.
THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS : -
Section I. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa
Clara is hereby permitted the use of the Leavesley Road in the City
of Gilroy from the center line of Monterey Street to the easterly
limits of the City of Gilroy for the purpose of constructing thereon
a highway as part of a county and state system of roads.
Section II. The Board of Supervisors of said County of Santa
Clara shall have power hereunder to pave such highway in accordance
with plans and specifications hereto adopted by said Board for the
paving of said Leavesley Road, the cost thereof to be paid in accord-
ance with an agreement entered into between the City of Gilroy and
thesaid Board of Supervisors, but neither the said Board of Supervisors
nor the said County of Santa Clara shall be under any obligation
after the paving of said street is completed, to further improve or
maintain said highway.
Section III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
