AN ORDINANCE A1ffiNDING SECTION 8, ORDINANCE NO. 314, OF
THE CITY OF GILROY, BY ADDING 'rHERETO A NEW SUBDIVISION TO BE
IGWWN AS (e) RELATIVE TO KEEPING, CUNFINING AND DETAINING CATTLE,
HORSES, MULES, DONKEYS, HOGS, SHEEP AND GOATS IN THE CITY OF
GILROY~
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy do
ordain as follows:
Section 1.
That Section 8 of Ordinance No. 314 of the City of Gilroy
be amended by adding thereto a new subdivision to be known as
(e), and which shall read as follows:-
(e) It is hereby declared to be a nuisance and it shall
be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to stable, keep,
confine, restrain or detain on any premises in the City of Gilroy,
within four hundred feet of any dwelling house in the City of
Gilroy (other than in a public corral or yard used by any railroad
company or transportation company for confining animals for ship-
ment and transportation), more than five head of cattle, horses,
mules, donkeys, hogs, sheep or goats.
Nothing in this ordinance ~ontQiRQd is intended to prevent
the confining of cattle, horses, mules, donkeys, hogs, sheep or
goats in any public corral or yard used by any railroad company
or transportation company in connection with'the shipment or
transportation of such animals.
Section II,
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage a~~tPproval.
