The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy do
,
ordain as follows:
section I.
That Subdivision 5 of Section 240 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Gilroy be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
" Subdi vi si on 5. The f ir'e lirlli t s of the Ci ty of Gi lroy
sh~ll comprise the blocks and parts of blocks herein named,
viz: Comnlencing at a point ir., the center of Third street
150 feet 'iJesterly from the point where the 'He sterly line of
Monterey street intersects the center line of Third street;
thence Northerly and parallel with the Westerly line of
Monterey street to the center line of Second Street; thence
Easterly and alohg the center line of Second Street to the
center line of Monterey Street; thence Sffiltherly along said
last named line to a point where the Northerly line of I. O. O. F.
Avenue, if pro.;ected 1!1Jesterly, would intersect the center line of
Monterey Street; thence Easterly and along the Northerly line of
I. O. O. F. Avenue and the 11iesterly prolon;~ation thereof to the
center line of the Southern Pacific Company Railroad track; thence
southerly and along the center line of the Southern Pacific Railroad
track to Lewis Street; thence Eesterly along the center line of
Lewis Street to the center line of Railroad Street; thence South-
erly along the center line of Railroad street to the center line
of Old Gilroy streeti thence ~esterly along the center line
of Old Gilroy street to the center line of the Southern
Pacific Ra ilI'OEld track; thence Southerly and along the center
line of said Southern Pacific Ra ilroad tl'ack to a point where

said line intersects a prolongation of the center line of
Ninth Street; thence Westerly along sRid prolongation and
the center line of Ninth street to a point 150 feet West
of Monterey street; thence Northerly along a line parallel
with the Westerly line of Monterey street to the center line
of Seventh Street; thence?'esterly along the center line of
Seventh street to the center line of Eigleberry street; thence
Northerly along the center line of Eigleberry Street to a point
100 feet Northerly from the Northerly line of Sixth Street;
thence at right angles Easterly to a point 150 feet West of
Monterey street; thence Northerly and parallel with Monterey
Street to the point of beginningo
Section II.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.
Section III.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
