AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 335 and 374 OF 'l'HE MUNIC IPAL
CODE OF THE CI'l'Y OF GILROY RELATING TO THE LIOENSING OF AUTOMA-
TIC MERCHANDISE VENDING MAChINES.
The Mayor and Cammon Council of the City of Gilroy do ordain
as follows:-

That Section 335 of Article 2, Chapter 2, Part 3 as amended
by Section 374 of the Municipal Code of the City of Gilroy, be,
and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

Sec.' 335. Every person, firm or corporation installing in
any premise s in the City of, Gilroy any automatic merchandise
vending and amusement machine shall pay a license of $15.00 each
year, payable semi-annually in advan6e for each machine installed
in the City of Gilroy.
Nothing in this Section contained shall be construed to per-
mit of the operation in the City of Gilroy ~ny slot machine or
mechanical device held by the Courts of the State of California
to be in violation of any law of the State of California, and
particularly in violation of Section 330a of the Penal Code of
the State of California.

All ordinances and parts or ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.

This ordinance shall take effec~ and be in force from and
after its passage and approval.
