Q'" -,"'" "'~ 'Y ~",.. . - o -"'51' . \ , ~ ORDINAI!CE NO.~ AN ORDINANCE A~I:ENDING SECTION 32 OF ARTICLE V OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 355, AS AMENDED BY ORDINAnCE NUMBER 357, RELATING TO THE REGULA TI ON OF TRAFFI C, THE USE AND CARE OF VEHI CLES AND PRESCRIBING A PARKING TIME LIMIT FOR VEHICLES UPON CERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS OF THE CITY OF GILROY AND REPEALING ALL ORD- INANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PRO- VIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VI OLATI ON OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF. THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That section 32 of Article V of Ordinance Number 355, as amended by orqinance number 357, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows, to-wit:- SECTION 32. Parking Time Limited in Specified Places. The operator of a vehicle shall not park such vehicle for a longer period 'of time than one (1) hour on any Arterial Street, in any business district, on Fourth Street between Monterey and Eigle- berry streets, on Fifth Street between Monterey and Eigleberry streets, on Sixth Street between Monterey Street and the alley between Mont- erey Street and Eigleberry Street; on Martin Street between Monterey Street and the Southern Pacific Railroad Tracks; on Lewis Street be- tween Monterey Street and the Southern Pacific Railroad Tracks, nor for a longer period of time than ten (10) minutes on Sixth Street between Eigleberry Street and the alley between Monterey Street and Ei8leberry Street, between the hours of seven (7:00) o'clock A.M. {' 1t1 ,:,:, '~~"lltliftllfmf1'1)rf'~~'-T=0~"l>"'"'f~ J"",""'~loIt~!,!,rl~",,,,,, .....,..~1!1QJ!1WJ'~.~lff:-T - ,-' ...'.~~ . _. At least two signs shall be erected and maintained in each block on said streets designating the parking time limit herein set forth. SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: Any person, firm, partnership, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be pun- ished by a fine of not more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period of not more than thirty (30) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day or fraction thereof any person, firm, partnership or corporation shall violate any of the provisions hereof shall be considered separate and distinct offenses. SECTION 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
