AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4 OF ORDINANCE NO. 216 OF TIm
CITY OF GILROY, AS AMENDED BY SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 304
OF THE SAID CITY OF GILROY, RELATING TO SEWERS, PLUMBING AND
DRAINAGE.
THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF-THE CITY OF GILROY DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Section 4 of Ordinance No. 216 of the City of Gilroy,
as amended by Section 2 of Ordinance No. 304 of the said City of
Gilroy, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 4: Every person, firm or corporation transacting
or carrying on the business of plumbing within the City of
Gilroy shall pay an annual license and registration fee for
conducting or carrying on said business, which fee shall be
additional to all other fees and/or licenses required to be
paid to the City of Gilroy. Before a plumber's license
shall be issued, the applicant therefor shall pay to the
City of Gilroy the sum of One Hundred and no/100 ($100.00)
Dollars, in advance, and before the license provided for
in this Ordinance is issued to said person, firm or corpor-
ation, application for said license and payment for the same
shall be made to the Clerk of the said City of Gilroy; such
sum of One Hundred and nO/lOO (,blOO .00) Dollars shall be
payment in full for the license tax or registration fee
for the year in which the same shall be paid, and shall

expire on the 31st day of December of each and every year,
unless sooner revoked. Upon the expiration of such annual
license, every person, firm or corporation carrying on the
business of plumbing in the City of Gilroy, shall be required
to renew his annual license, within five (5) days, and pay
therefor to the City Clerk of the City of Gilrpy, the sum
of Ten and nO/lOO ($lO~OO) Dollars.
No permit shall be issued to or inspections made for
any person who has failed to pay such license tax or regis-
-l:;ration fee of One Hundred and nO/lOO (;1~100 .00) Dollars, or
whose annual license is not paid for as required herein, and
it shall be unlawful for any person who has not paid such
license tax or registration fee to install, alter, remodel
or repair any plumbing work.
All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed. .
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage and approval.
