AN ORDINANOE AMENDING ARTICLE III, OF CHAPTER I, OF PART I, OJ!' THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF GILROY, BY . ADDING A NEW SECTiON THERETO PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTM~T OF DEPUTIES FOR CITY TREASURER, CITY OLERK AND OITY ~ffiRSHAL. The Mayo~ and Oommon Oouncil do ordAin as follows: Section 1. That Article III of Chapter I, of Part I, of the Municipal Code of the. Oity of Gilroy, .be, and the I I I same is hereby amended by adding a new section thereto to read as follows, to-wit: ltSection 20. The Oity Treasurer, the Oity Olerk, and the City Marshal each shall have the right to appoint a deputy, subject to the approval of the Mayor and Oommon Oouncil. If the Oommon Oouncil shall deem such appointments necessary, it shall, upon approving same, fix the compensation of such deputy and determine the amount of bond to be given to the Oity by said appointee. tl Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force upon its passage and approval. Passed this 1st day of April, 1929, by the following vote: AYES--Councilmen . ABSENT--Oouncilmen . Oity Clerk.
