Ordinance 361 ORDINANCE NO. r:; {' AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE USE OF VACANT LOTS WITHIN THE CITY OF GILROY FOR THE BUSINESS OF STORING AND SELLING OLD AUTOMOBILES, MACHINERY AND OTHER MATERIALS KNOWN AS JUNK, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THll."'REOF. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy do ordain as follows: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons or corporation to use any vacant lot within the Ci ty of Gilroy for the busine ss of storing and selling old automobiles, machinery, and other materials known as junk, unless the premises used for such purpose is enclosed with a tight board fence at least eight feet in height;t. said fence to be painted and free of all signs, except the sign of the owner of the business. Section 2.. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3. Any person violating or wilfully non-comply- ing wi th any of the prOVisions of this Ordinance, is guilt,. of a misdemeanor, and shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the City Prison not exceeding thirty days, or by both, such fine and imprisonment. ~ection 4.
