AMENDING SECTION NO. 24 OF ORDINANCE NO. 297, AMENDING
ARTICLE II OF PART III OF THE MUNICIPAL OODE OF THE CITY OF
GILROY, REGULATING CLASSIFICA'l'ION AND LICENSE CHARGES AND
PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLIOr THEREWITH.
The Mayor and Common Oouncil of the Oi ty of Gilroy do
ordain as follows:
Section 1. That Section No. 24 of Ordinance No. 297
amending Article II of Part III of the Municipal Code of the
Oity of Gilroy be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows, to-wit:
Section 24. For the business of so-called fortune telling

conducted by "mediums, Clairvtryant"'JPalm readers and fortune
tellers, the sum of Twenty-five Dollars per day.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealeg..
Section 3. Any person violating or wilfully non-complying
wi th any of the provisions of this ordinance is guilty of a
mi sdemeanor, and shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished
by a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars, or by imprisonment
in the City Pri son not exceeding thirty days, or by both such ..
~ine and imprisonment.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.and approvalo
