ORDINANOE NO. 3 ~ 7
An Ordinance authorizing and permitting the Board of
SUpervi sora of" the County of Santa Clar.... the use of North
Monterey street f:rom a p:rolongation of the Southerly line or
Second Street. to the' Northe~ly limIts of the City of Gilroy,
f'or the purpose of constructing and repairing the pavement on
said street.
The M..yor and Common Council of the City of' GIlroy do
ordain as .tollows:
Section I. The Board of Supervisors of the County of
Santa Clara is hereby permitted the use of North Monterey street
from a prolongation 0 f the Southerly line of Second 6'treet to the
Northerly limits of the Oity of Gilroy, for the pUrpose of const:ruct-
ing and repairing the pavement on said street, as a part of a
county and state system of roads.
Section II. The Board of. Superviaors of' Santa Clara County
shall have power hereunder to pave and repalr pavlng on a.ld
highway in such manner a8 it may determine, the cost thereof to
be paid out of the Genel'al Fund of the County Treasurer of the
sald County of Santa Clara, but neither the sald Board of Super-
visors nor said Oounty ot Santa Cla.ra shall be under any obligatlon
after the said improvement i. completed to .further improve or maintaln
said highway.
Section III. Thi. Ordinance shall take effect and J>e in
force from and after it. passage and approval.
Adopted and passed this 27th day of' August, 1930,by the
following vote:-
AYES: Councilmen J .H. Rush, Geo. Easton, Geo.M.Lawton,
S. D. Heck.
NOES: Oouncilmen None
ABSENT: Councilmen Fred C. Boock.
Approved this 27th day of' August. 1930.
