AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 335 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE OITY OF GILROY RELATING TO THE LICENSING OF AUTOMATIV MERCHANDISE
VENDING MACHINES.
The Mayor and Common Council of the Oity of Gilroy do ordain as
follows:-

That Section 335 of Article 2, Chapter 2, Part 3JOf the Municipal
Code of the City of Gilroy, be, and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
Sec. 335. Every person, firm or corporation installing in any
premises in the City of Gilroy any automatic merchandise vending and
amusement machine shall pay a license of $10.00 semi-annually for each
machine installed in the City of Gilroy,
Nothing in this Section contained shall be construed to permit
of the operation in the City of Gilroy of any slot machine or mechanical
device held by the Courts of the State 9f California to be in violation
of any law of the State of California, and particularly in vtolation of
Section 330a of the Penal Code of the State of California.

All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.

This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its pas'sage and approval.
Passed and adopted this 6th day of July, 1931, by the following
vote:
