AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBDIVISION 2ND OF SECTION 54,
ARTICLE III, CHAPTER II, PART I OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE
TO POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE EXECUTIVE OFFICERS.
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy do'or-
dain as follows:
Section I.

That Subdivision 2nd, Article III, Chapter II, Part I of
the Municipal Code of the City of Gilroy be~ and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
2nd. At the first regular meeting in June of each even
numbered year, appoint the following Standing Committees, con-
sisting of three members eacll, and name the Chairman thereof:
a. Ways and Means,
b. Finance,
c. Public Buildings and Grounds,
d. Police,
e. Streets, Highways and Bridges,
f. Fire Department,
g. Water Works,
h. Ordinances,
i. Lighting,
j. Sewerage,
k. Public Health and Safety.
Should any Standing Committee be created by the Mayor and
COIT@on Council of the City of Gilroy at any time between the
first regular meeting held in the month of June of each even
numbered year, the Mayor shall immediately, after the creat~on
of such Standing Committee, appoint the members thereof in con-
formity with this section.
Section II.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its pas~age and approval.~
Adopted and passed this ~ day of December, 1931, by the
