Santa Teresa Boulevard Widening Project
Dear Ms. Abrams,
In response to your request, RBF Consulting is pleased to present this addendum to
provide for additional services to complete the design for the improvements of Santa
Teresa Boulevard from 1400' south of First Street to Sunrise Drive. Included in this scope
of work are modifications to the previously prepared soundwall plans to provide for varying
offsets, height and texture requirements; additional retaining wall improvements to avoid
the extension of the box culverts at Morey Channel #1 and #2; modifications to the
previously prepared plans to provide for dual ramps at three intersections, additional
services to provide for an extensive landscape rendering and services for additional
construction easements previously unaccounted.
Enclosed for your review are the following exhibits: Scope of Services, Exhibit "A" and
Proposed Compensation, Exhibit "B ".

SCOPE OF WORK

AND MANTELLI DRIVE GAP CLOSURE PROJECT
ADDENDUM #02
A. Consultant agrees to perform the following Scope of Services:
Task 01 Modification to Plans for Dual Ramps

Consultant will modify previously prepared plans to allow for dual handicap
ramps at three intersections of Santa Teresa Boulevard. Installing dual
ramps results in moving the limit line back from its previous location causing
modifications to numerous plan sheets. They include:
• Modify Street Improvement Plans to move the median noses back.
• Modify Traffic Signal Improvement Plans to relocate pole and detector
loop locations.
• Modify Sign and Striping Plans to provide for new cross walk locations
• Modify Stage Construction Plans to update to current construction
limits
Task 02 Retaining Wall Plans at Drainage Channels
Consultant will prepare two retaining ;gall plans and structural calculations to
avoid the extension of Morey Channel #1 and #2. Structural calculations to
demonstrate no impacts to the existing box culverts at the request of the
SCVWD. Plans to further provide details for guard rail removal to provide
access adjacent to the channel at the request of SCVWD. Previous scope
of work in addendum #01 provided for the preparation of 4 plan sheets to
complete work associate with the channels, 6 plan sheets will now be
provided along with additional structural calculations. The previous scope of
work in addendum #01 provided for services to obtain a regulatory permit
which is now not required as a result of the installation of the retaining walls.
The fee for the design of two new retaining walls and structural calculations
is $7,500. This fee will be offset by the regulatory permit fee of $5,990. The
resulting additional fee for the new retaining wall as identified in Exhibit "B"
will be $1,500.

Task 03 Landscape Rendering
Consultant shall prepare one revised presentation quality landscape concept
plan for the project. The plan shall include one plan at an scale of 1 " =40', up
to four cross sections depicting street, landscaped parkways and medians
and sound wall and up to four typical soundwall elevations. The plans will
be prepared based on client goals and objectives, site opportunities and
constraints and the requirements of the City of Gilroy. The revised plan will
incorporate comments received by RBF from � � the City at the September 1 jth
meeting and shall depict the following:
• All project improvements from transition to transition
• Lane and transition striping
• Soundwalls and soundwall easements
• Landscape median pavement
• Expanded landscape planting, pallette
• Street lights
The plan and a preliminary estimate landscape construction costs will be
submitted to the City for preliminary review, comments and approval prior to
the City Council Meeting of October 17. RBF shall provide one 36" colored
plan for entire length of project and approximately 12ea. 11 "X17" copies.
The original scope of work established a fee of in the amount of $3,800 for
a supplemental landscape concept plan and rendering. The fee for this
extensive landscape rendering is $8,500. The resulting fee for this new
landscape rendering as identified in Exhibit "B" will be $4,700.
Task 04 Soundwalls
Consultant will modify previously prepared soundwall plans (7 sheets) to
provide for varying horizontal offsets, vertical heights and textures. Original
ground will be plotted in locations where the soundwall horizontal locations
have changed.
Task 05 Construction Easements
Consultant will prepare an additional seven(7) construction easements. The
scope of work in addendum #01 provided for the preparation of 80
construction easement documents. 87 construction easements will now be
required to complete this work.

B. Client agrees to compensate Consultant for such service as follows:

schedule identified below and shall invoice Client monthly based on the percentage
