FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION of the sum ot One Dollar <$1.00)
to the undersigned in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged JASPER F. MARTIN and ADA MARTIN, his wife ot the
County of Santa Clara, State of California, do hereby grant to
the CITY OF GILROY, a Municipal Corporation, the right of way
to construct, erect, maintain, operats, repair and rensw a leT7
bulkhead and/or other flood control structures, togsther with
the right of ingress and egress, to, over, along and arom the
same and together wi th the right and continued right to take and
borrow material from the lands or the undersigned on the creek
~ide of said levy to construct, operate and maintain the same,
over, through and along that certain parcel of land situate in
Santa Clara County, State of California, and described as follows,
to wit:-
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of lot two (2) of
the subdivision of the lands of S. P. Fine as the same is shown
on a map of said subdivision recorded in the office of the
County Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California,
in Volume "F-2" of Maps at page 46, and running thence along the
westerly line of said lot two (2) N. 40 30' E. a distance of
one thousand and ninety-two (1092) feet; thence S. 850 30' E.
a distance of twelve (12) feet; thence S. 40 30' W. a distance of
one hundred and seventy-five (175) feet; thence S. 770 14' E. a
distance of three hundred and twenty-six and 12/100 (326.12) teet;
thence S. 420 54' E. a distance o:f eighty-two and 20/100 (82.20)
feet to the easterly line of said lot two (2); thence along the
easterly line of said lot two (2) S. 40 30' W. a distance ot
eight hundred and'five and 84/100 (805.84) :feet to the southeaat
corner thereof; thence along the 80uthe12ly line of said lot
two (2) N. 860 45' W. a distance of three hundred and ninety-five
and 34/100 (395.34) feet to the point of beginning, baiD! a
