A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN AR1~ORY

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CO~uON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY:
WIn~REAS, the State of California is desirous of constructing
and the said City of Gilroy by and through it's Mayor and Common
Council is desirous of cooperating and assisting in the erection
thereof, and#
W1~REAS, in order to secure financial aid, grant or assist-
ance from the United States of America to construct and erect said
Armory, and in order to secure the same it is necessary that the
City of Gilro:y" provide a site upon which said Armory may be erect-
ed.

site has been approved by Captain Cecil L. Carlyle of Howitzer
Company, 184 Infantry of the state of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said City of Gilroy shall
and it does hereby reserve unto itself such uses, rights~ title
and interest in and to said. site and the building thereupon to
be erected as an Armory, as the United States of America and the
State of California may permit and allow, as in such cases made
and provided.
BE IT FURTlfER RESOLVED, that as and when the State of Cali-
of said Armory with the United states of America, the City of
Gilroy shall conveyor caused to be conveyed by a good and
sufficient grant deed to the state of California the said site
for such armory as aforesaid.
