Resolution 35 r RESOLUTION NO. 35 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF GILROY, CALIFORNIA, as fol- lows: WHEREAS, the applioation to Federal Emergenoy Administration of Public Works, designated as Dooket Ko.3082, Gilroy Munioipal Waterworks for the construotion and installation of water pipe lines, has been approved, and VffiEREAS, certain work and labor in the construction and in- stallation od same within and near the Oity of Gilroy, and WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy has a force of men in the water department skilled in the laying and installation of water pipes, which, on account of lack of work it has been obliged to layoff, and whereas, there is miuch unemployment in Gilroy at this time and many men are idle who are competent to do the work on this project, and whereas the City of Gilroy has the necessary tools and equipment for this work, and WHEREAS, a greater portion of the money going into this pro- ject has been derived from the taxpayers of the City of Gilroy and through the revenue from water service within the City, and WijEREAS'.':a'~saving oan be made in the cost of the project if permitted to do the work force account, THEREFORE, BE I~ RESOLVED: That the City of Gilroy make application to the Federal Emergenoy Administ~l!lt,.pn of Public Works for permission to do the work upon the installation and construction of said Project No. 3082, Gilroy Munioipal Waterworks, at or neat Gilroy, itself by what is known and designated as "Force Account." f)4 Passed and adopted at a meeting of the Council of the City of Gilroy held this 26th day of January, 1934, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen S.
