HESOLUTION NO. 18-1929 OVERRULHTG PRO'I'ES'l'S
'ffnEHE1\.S, the l\:ayor' and Conrrnon Council of the Oi ty of
Gilroy did, on the 22nd day of I'iay, 1929, pass its Resolution
of Intention Ho. 9-1929, to or'der certain work to be done and
improvement to be made in said City, and describing the
district in which the pronerty therein is to be assessed for
the work and cost thereof, reference to which Resolution of
Intention is hereby made and the same is hereby made a part
hereof for tr~e des~ripti on of the work and improvement and
the assessment district.
AIm '!JHEREl\.S, certain property owners of property liable
to be assessed for said work made written protes.ts or objections,
in writing, and delivered the same to the Clerk of said City
not later than tY,e houI' set fOI'th for hearing such ob.; ections;
and
?!HEH.EAS, at the time set for hear'ing protests and objections
said Mayor and Common Council proceeded to hear the same, and all
of said protests or objections having been heard and duly con-
sidered, and said Layor and Conrrnon Council being required to pass
upon the same;
IT IS HEREBY HESOLVED, by said ;:ayoI' and Corrrrn.on Council
that all of said protests and objections against said proposed
work or improvement, and against said DroDosed improvement
district, be, and the same are hereby overruled and denied;
I'l' IS FURT'hK{ fiEHEBY .HESOLVED, by the 1;,ayor and Common
Council that it appearing to them, tbey accordin~ly 11.er>eby find
that said protests and objections against vfork and improvement
to be ordered as aforesaid, were ~ade by the owners of less than
one-half of the area of the property to be assessed for said
pl>oposed work.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and I'egr.!.larly adopted by the l..:ayor .'1.nd Common Council
of the City of Gill'oy at an adj ourntll.regular meeting of
said Common Council held on the /7 .:;; day of June, 1929,
