Resolution 19-1929 RESOLU'I'IOH HO. 19-1929 ORDmUFG THE 'FORK 'NHEREAS, the 1.,ay01" and Cornmon Council of the Oity of Gilroy did on the 22nd day of hay, 1929, pass its Hesolution of Intenti on IT o. 9-1929 to order certain work and improve- ment to be made in said Oi ty, whic}: T(esolution of Intention was duly and legally published as pec;uired by law, as appears from theSfidavi t of JO:TI1 11. r~all, now .on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; and ';'JHEHEiiS, the said notices of the passage of the said Heso11..1tion of Intention headed 11Notice of lmprovementll, were duly and lega~LJ.y posted along the respective lines of said contemplated work and improvement, and also on and glon; the open streets and alleys wi thin the dj. strict des- cribed in said Resolution of Intention and shown upon a r:ap or diagram srovling the boundary lines of said d5. strict on file 5.n the ofF'ice of tl,e ctty Clerk, and the district to be assessed for said work and improvement, in form and manner as required by law; after the pass~:ge of said :i.esolution of Intention, as appears by the i\ffidavit of George Easton, street Commissioner of said Ci ty of Gilroy, wh? personally nosted the same, and v{rlO, after the completion of the posting of said notice s, filed hi s said Affidavit in the office of the Ci ty Clerl{ of said Ci t;y, making oath that he completed the posting of said Hotices on the 28th day of [ia::T, 1929; and ':rcj:2;RE;~S, all protests OJ:' objections presented have been disposed of in tine, form and manner as required by law, and said L=ayop and Cornrn.on Council has now acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed work and improvement, IT IS HEREBY RESOI.NED by the i>layor and Common Council that the public interest and convenience required the v!ork herein described, and said Layor and Common Council does heI'eby order the wOl'k to be done and improvement to be made in said City, as described in the Resolution of Intention passed by the Layor and Common Council on ay 22nd, 1929, and in accordance ~ith plans, profiles, and specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk, said Resolution ~ Intention, plans, profiles cind specifications being hereby referred to and made a part hereof for further particulars of said work and impr'ovement and the asse sSlTIent di strict. That said City Clerk is hereby directed to post notice of said war}.::, together VIi th plans and sp,:cifications. therefor, conspicuously for five (5) days on or :near the Council Chamber door of Le.yor and Corr..nlon Council , inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered. he is also directed to publish twice in the llGilroy Evening Dispatchll, a daily newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said Ci ty of Gilroy, and hereby desi;snated by said Ji:ayor and Common Council for that purpose, a notice invi tin&; sucb proposals and referring to the specifications posted or en file.
