to order the following work and improven~nt in said City of
Gilroy, to-vii t:

Second Street and the Southerly 1i:1e of Sixth Street; also
That Second Street, between the Easterly line of Eigle-
berry street and the Desterly li~e of Lonterey street; also
That Pourth Street, between the Easterly line of Eigleberry
street and the Westerly line of r,,;onterey street; also
'I'hat B'ifth Street, between the ';!esterly Oi ty boundary and
the Dester1y line of Eigleberry street; also
That Fifth Street, betvleen the Easterly line of Eigleberry
street and the Westerly line of }'o;-~terey street; also
That Sixth Street, between the Easterly line of Eigleberry
street and the 'I'Iesterly line of' konterey street; also
That Sixth st,reet, between the Basterly line of Monterey
street and the Easterly line of Railroad Alley; also
That ~Brtin Street, between the 3aster1y line of Monterey
street and the 'e sterly line of H8ilroad Alley;. also
That Lewis Street, between the Easterly line of hionterey
street and a point tV'lO feet "est of the most 'iJesterly rail of
the Southern Pacific Railway tracks, and between a point two
feet East of the most Easterly rail of the Southern Pacific
Railway tracks and the 1,iesterly line of Porest Street;
That the roadways of all of the portions of said streets,
avenues and lanes as above described be graded and Daved with

base, in accord wi th tl'leir respecti~e grades and in the manner

mentioned streets;
Also, for a ~torm water sewer to be constructed in Eigle-
berry street from Third street to Sixth street, in Fifth Street
from Carmel street to Eigleberry street, and in Sixth Street
from Eigleberry Stl'"'eet to the slough called Miller' Slough ,just
East of kaple street, with catch basins, cOl~ruR;ated iI'on dl~ain
pipe, and wall and apron at outlet of sewer.
Excepting, howeTer, from the above described wor!.{ such
portion or porti ons of the concrete c'\lrb s, concrete gutters,
concrete sidewalks and PBvement above described as ape already
constructed to the line and Grade "hereinafter referred to; and
excepting also from the above described work any and all portions
thereof which are described more than once or repeated because
of descriptions recrossing streets at intersections, it being the
intention to describe only one improvement at such street
crossing.
That all said work be done according to the plans, profiles
and specifications therefor, prepared by R. B. Fisher, City
Engineer of the City of Gilroy, duly and regularly adopted by'
the Mayor and Common Council on IFarch 5th, 1928, and now on file
in the office of the bity Clerk of said City, and according to
the elevations and lines as shown on said plans, which said plans,
profiles and specifications are hereby referred to for the full
and detailed desBriptlon of said proposed work and improvement.
And the said Mayor and Common Council does hereby determine
and declare that the aforesaid work Bnd impr'ovement is of more
than local or ordinap~nd vvill affect and benefit the

City Engineer, approved by the ~ayor end Con~on Council and
on fi Ie in the office of the City Clerk, which said map or
dia~ram is hereby referred to and made a part hereof, and is
hereby declared to be the District benefitted by such work and
improvement, end that, therefore, the entire cost and expenses
of said work and improvem:mt, save and except therefrom the
S1~ of ~10 Thousand ($2000.00) Dollars, to be D8id from the
General Fund of the City of Gilroy, shall be and is hereby
made chargeable against, and stall be assessed upon said

Attention is called to Varrentte-Bitulithic License Mixture
A;:::reement, of :,'i[arl'en Brothers Company, of Boston, tTass., of
date of February 15th, 1928, and on file in the office of the
City Clerk of the City of Gilroy.
Notice is hereby ~iven that serial bonds to represent
unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate of seven per
cent. per annum, vIill be issued hereunder, in the manner
provided by the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and amendments
thereto, the last installment of .which bonds shall filature ten
(10) years from the 2nd day of .July next succeeding ten (10)
months from their date.
