Martin Johnson, seconded by C. E. Fredrickson the fOllowing resolution was adopted: "ResolTed by the City Council of the City of Gilroy, that pursuant and subject to all the terms, conditions and provisions of the Public Health Act of the state of Califor- nia, approTed Maroh ~3, 1907, and all amendments thereto, application by this City be made to the state Board of Health of the state of California, for a permit to extend sewer system of Gilroy, southerly about 10,000:C1'eet and up- on a 200 acre field owned by said City of Gilroy, install a sewage disposal plant, upon the separate sludge disposal plan, consisting of a olarifying tank and digester. The \( \/ ","''''''~~ ,~ , (';, ry '~.} 6 effluent from clarifyer will be used to irrigate from 70 to 100 acres of land, the said land being tiled for draining away the surplus water, that the Mayor of said City be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause the necessary data to be prepared, and investigations to be made, and in the name of said City to sign and file sueh application with the state Board of Health."
