WHl~aEAS, The Mayor amI Common Councilor the City ofGil-
roy, did on t~e 11th day of July, 1925, canvass the vote cast
at the specIal eloction hel(l in Gilroy on the Rth day or ,TUly,
192;3, ror the purposf~ of electing a Councilman to fill tl}e va-
cancy cause~ ~y the death of Charle~ W. Schemel, and after
having canvassed the vote finds that the total ntw~er of
votes cast was 352.'
That Elner J. Chesbro received 367 votes and that the
scattering votes amounted to 5.
NOW THElU~FOHE, as a. result of the vote cast at the
special ele.tion the Mayor anrl Common Council hereby tleclare
that Elmer J. Chesbro, is elcterl to the office of Councilman
of the City of Gilroy, and that a certificate of' election be
i~~ue(l unto him.
