RESOLU'fION APPROVING BOND OF COilST COUNTIES GAS AIID
:ELECTRIC COMPANY EXECU'rED IN COlTSIDER..i\.TION OF TF..E GH~.J1~T OF THE
FRANCHISE TO LAY AND l~fAINTAIN GAS MAINS IN CERTAIN HIGHVU;.YS
OF THE CITY OF GILROY.
iJ'iliEREAS on the 12th day of },farch, 1923, the
M~or and Common Council of the City of Gilroy struck off, sold
and amarded to the Coast Counties Gas and Electric Company, a
corporation oreanized and existing under and by virtue of the
laws of the State of California, the franchise of l~ing and
maintaining mains for conveyin6 and distributing gas to the
public in certain highways in said City of Gilroy; cmd
WHEREAS sa.id Coast Counties Gas and Electric
Company, pursuant to law and the provisions of a resolution
which was adopted by said Mayor and Common Council on the 22nd
day of Januar,y, 1923, has duly executed and filed with said
M~or and Common Council a bond in the penal sum of one
thousand dollars ($1,000.00), bearing date the 12th day of
March, 1923, cmd conditioned as prescribed by law and by the
last mentioned resolution; and
~nEREAS, upon due investigation and consid-
eration, it appears to the satisfaction of said Mayor and
Common Council that said bond is in proper form and that
said bond has been duly executed by said Coast Counties Gas
and Electric Company and by two good and sufficient sureties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor
and Co~non Council of the City of Gilroy that said bond be,
and it is hereby, accepted and approved.
