RESOLUTION NO. la'
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of
the City of Gilroy,
THAT WHEREAS an application for a telephone and
telegraph franchise has been filed with the Common Council of
this City by the Gilroy Telephone Company, and this Body

proposes to grant a franchise for that purpose,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that the fact of said application
shall be advertised and bids for said franchise invited in
the manner and for the time required by law. That the time
for the receiving of suCh bids shall be up to 5 o'clock, P. M.
of the 17th day of February, 1941. Said notice to be
published in the Gilroy Evening Dispatch for ten (10) suc-
cessive days, or as often during said period as said paper
is published, the full publication to be completed not less
than twenty (20) days before the 17th day of February,
1941.
Approved and adopted this 6th day of JanuB.ry, 1941,
at a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of
Gilroy.
