RESOLUTION NO.l36
RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GILROY APPROVING
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENr FOR ACCUMlJLAT ION
OF 1/4 CENT GAS TAX ALLOCATED FOR STREETS OF
MAJOR IMPORTANCE.
WHEREAS, a memorandum of agreement has been presented to be enter-
ed into .ith the state of California for the acoumulation of the 1/4
cent gl s tax for the fiscal year 1943 allocated for streets of major
impcr tance other than state highways in the City 0 f Gilroy;and
vVHEREAS, the Common Council has heard read said agreement in full
an d is familiar with the contents thereof;
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Common Counc il of the City of Gilroy
that, under the provisions 0 f Sect ion 200 0 f the Streets and. High-
ways Code, the 1/4 cent gas tax allocated for streets of major import-
ance other it han state highways be acoumulated for future expenditure,
and that said agreement be and the same is hereby approved, and the
Mayor and the City Clerk are directed to sign the same on behalf of
said city, said agreement to be binding upon the City upon its ex-
ecution by the authorized officials of the State.
ADOPTED AND PASSED this 21st day of September, 1942.
