RESOLUT ION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ADOPTING BUDGET AND APPROVING MEMORAIDUM OF AGREEMEm.'
FOR EXPENDITURE OF 1/4 CENT GAS TAX ALLOCATED FOR
STREETS OF MAJOR Th1PORTANOE.
WHEREAS, a memorand um. of agreement has been p:esented
to be entered into with the State of California and acccr dance
with a project statement for expendiwre of the 1/4 cent gas
tax for t he fiscal year 1947 allocated for street of major
importanoe other than state highways in the Oity of Gilroy;and
WHEREAS. the Oommon Council has heard read said agree-
ment in full and is familiar with the contents thereof;
THEREFORE, be it resolved byt the Common Council of
the City of Gilr,oy that said project statement be and is hefeb7
adopted as the budget of proposed expenditures of the 1/4 cent
gas tax allocated for streets of major importance other than
state highways,and said agreement be and the same is hereby approved
and the Mayor and the City Clerk are directed to sign the same on
behalf of said City,said agreement to be binding upon the City
upon its execution by the autijorized officials of the State.
ADOPTED AND PASSED this 5th day of August, 1946 by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmen George A.Martin,George M.Mason.J.H.
Wentworth,Ray L.Stevens,James B.Thomas.
NOES: Councilmen None.
ABSENl': Councilmen Nat Heiner.
