RESOLUTION NO.173
WHEREAS,the Common Counc!il of the City of Gilroy did, on the Fifth
day 01.' May, 1947 ,pass a certain Resolutions,to wit:Resolution No.
169 assigning Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) from funds allooated
to said City under Chapter 20,St~tutes of 1946 (First Extra Session),
as amendedi ~o the State or California.Department 01.' Public Works,
Division of Highways; and Resolution No~170 assigning the sum ot
Two Hundred and ~i1'ty Dollars ($250.00} from funds alloacted to said
City under Chapter 47,Statutes 01.' 1944 (Fourth Extra Session),tQ said
Division of Highways;it being stipulated in said Resolutions that
funds so assigned were fo~ the sole use of the assignee in oonstruct-
ing Traf1.'io Control Lights at four intersections on State Highway.
Route 2,within the City of Gilrqy;and
WHEREAS,the Divison of Highways of the Department of Public Works of
the State of Califarnia,the assignee in said Resolu'ions,has now
requested the City of Gilroy to rescind said Resolutions and to apply
directly to the State Department of Finance for the funds so assigned;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Gilroy does hereby order and declare Resolutions No.169 and Resolution
No.l70 of said Council rescinded,vacated, and set aside; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies 01' this Resolution be
filed with the State Department 01' Public Works ,Divis ion of Highways,
the State Controller, the State Director of Finance,and the Post War
Public Works Review Board.
