ADOPTED ANTI PASSED this 6th day of July,1948 by the following
votes:
WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy City Planning Commission of the City
of Gilroy has reported,found and re~~nded that certain districts
of city be changed from one zone to another as follows:
That the following described premises be changed from Zone "E" to
Zone "A",to wit:
All that certainli: district bounded on the North by the South line
of Sixth Street,West by theVlest corporate limit line of the City of
Gilroy,Sputh by the North line 0 f Seventh Street projected westerly
to the West corporate limit line of the City of Gilroy,East to the
,West line of Dowdy Street;
and the following described district of said City 0 f Gilroy be
changed from Zone "E" to Zone "B", to wit:
Commencing at a point in the South line of Seventh Street 150
feet West 0 f the West line of Hanna Street, thence West along the
South line 0 f Seventh Street projected westerly to the West corporate
limit line of the City of Gilroy,thence South along the West cor-
pora te limit line 0 f the City of Gilroy to the North line of Ninth
Street projected westerly to the West corpoIate limit line of the
City of Gilroy,thence East along the projected North line of Ninth
Street and the North line of Ninth Street to the West line of Hanna
Street,thence North along the West line of Hanna Street to the South
line of Eighth Street,thence West along the South line of Eighth
Street 160t1'eet,mo:te or less, thence North to the South line of
Seventh Street and the point of beginning.
and also that the following described district of said City of. Gilroy
be zoned into Zone "A",to wit:
Commencing at a point in th e East line 0 f Miller Avenue 190 feet
Southwest of the corner of Hecker Pass Road and Miller Avenue,thence
Southwest along the East line of Miller Avenue to the South line of
Third Street,thence East along the South line of Third Street to the
West line of Princevalle Street, thence Northwest along the West line
of Princevalle Street to a point 150 feet Southeast of Hecker Pass
Road,thence West 150 feet,more or less, to the East line of Miller
Avenue and the point of beginning,
and that the following described district of said City be zoned into
Zdme "B", to w it :
Commencing at the Southwest corner of Hecker Pass Road and Miller
Avenue,thence Southwest 190 feet,thence Northeast 150 feet,more or
less, thence Northwest 150 feet, thence We st 84.64 feet to the po int of
beginning.
Reference is hereby had to the map and general zoning ordinance
of the said City of Gilroy now on file in the office of the City Clerk
of said City of Gilroy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing will be held
on Monday,the 26th day of July,1948, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M.
of said day dn the Council Chambers of the Common Council of said City
of Gilroy,when and where any person interested may protest and/or
object to such zoning and zoning changes.
