RESOLUTIon .Al'JD ORDER C.AIJVASSING VOTE AND DECLARING RI1:fCTION OF
MUlUCIPAL OFFI'jERS OF THE CITY OF GIlROY.
':!I-IEREAS the reglJ_lar nunic ipal election for the nunioipal offices
of the City of Gilroy was held in said city on the 1st of May,1950,
in accordance with the provisions of the City Charter and pursuant
to law and to due legal notioe given of said election, and
iJlliREAS the Common Counoil of the City 0 f Gilroy has this 2nd
da y of t1ay, 1950, canvassed the returns of said el ection and found
and asoertained that the total number of votes cast at said eleot-
ion was 907, that the nUYilb er of votes oast in Prec tnct "Aft \'las 484,
that the nur"lber of votes oast in Precinot "B" was 423, and the the
following named persons received the number of votes set opposite
their respective names for tile respective offices for whioh they
were candidates, to-wit:

the City of Gilroy,tht Albert Guy Goodrich reoeived the majority of
all the votes cast for the office of City Uars hal of' the City of
Gilroy, and that Dale D.Daniels,George M.Mason,David V.Stout,Jarnes
B.Thomas,John H.\'!entworth and Carl Vi.Pate were the six oanlidates
receiving the highest- number of votes for the offioe of' councilmen

IT IS Tl::'EREFORE ORDERED and DECLA.RED that said George C.LTilias
has been duly elected to the office of Mayor of the City of' Gilroy;
that Philip A.Cox has been duly elected to the offioe of City Clerk
of the City of Gilroy;that H.R.Eschenburg has been duly eleoted to
the office of City Treasurer of the City of Gilroy; that Albert Guy
Goodrioh has been and is duly elected to the office of' City Uarshal
of the City of Gilroy, and that Dale D.Daniels,George M:.Mason,David
V.Stout,James B.Thomas,John H.Wentworth and Carl W.Pate have been
and are duly eleoted to the offioe of Counoilmen of the City of Gilroy;
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED that the City Clerk of the Citry 01' Gilroy
inuediately sign and deliver to eaoh person so elected a certificate
of eleotion.
