RESOLUTION NO.272
RESOLUTION OF THE COM :ON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY APPROVIID
AND AUTHORIZING COOPERATIVE AGREErAENT WITH THE DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS
OF THE DEPARTT.'IENl' OF NBLIC WORKS OF 'IF...E STNrE OF CALIFORIUA,FOR ~
CONSTRUCTION OF A STOFlli~ SEVmR FROM THE CORNER OF FOURTH STREET AND
EIGELBEERY STREET TO TEE lJIILLER SLOUGH AND LEWIS STREET.
WHEREAS, the State of California, through its Department of
Public Works,Division of Highways, has proposed that the City of
Gilroy and that said State of California enie~ into a cooperative
agreement,the purpose of which is the construction of a storm sewer
from Fourth and Eigelberry Streets to Monterey Street and across
Monterey Street to Lewis Street and thence East on Lewis Street to
its intersection with Miller Slough, and has presented an agreement
covering the construction of said storm sewer which apportions the
ccs t thereof;and
'WHEREAS, the said Common Counci 1 of the City of Gilroy has
heard read said agreement,1s familiar with the contents thereof,
and approves the same.
NOW, THEREFORE , ~~ IT RESOLVED by the said Common Council
that the said cooperative agreement be, and the same 1s hereby
approved, and the Mayor and the City Clerk are directed to sign the
same on behalf of the said City.

following votes:
AYES: Councilmen George M.Mason,J.H.Wentworth,James B.Thomas,
David V.Stout,Carl W.Pate.
NOES: Councilmen None
