RESOLUTION NO.i22.
Resolved by the CO~~N COUNCIL of the City of Gilroy that
pursuant and subject to all of the terms,conditions and provisions
of Division 5,part l,Chapter 7, Sections 4010 to 4035 of the Calif-
ornia Health and Safety Code and all amendments thereto,relating to
domestic water supplies,application by this City be made to the
State Board of Public Health,for a permit. to use existing worksc
for sppplying water to the inhabitants of t-he City of Gilroy and
to modify and repair existing works;which said works consist of a
dam and forbay on the.' Uvas Creek about five (5) miles northwest of
the City of Gilroy,and two wells in the City of Gilroy and pumping
plants attached thereto, one of said wells being located at the
Southeast corenr of Monterey Street and I.O.O.F.Avenue and the other
along the south side of First Street between Princevalle and Carmel

Streets;and pipe line distributing system;that the Mayor of said City
of Gilroy be and is hereby authorized and directed to cause the nec-
essary data to be prepared,and investigations to be made,and in the
name of the City of Gilroy to sign and file such application with the
said State Board of Public Health.
PASSED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Common Council of
the City of Gilroy on the 4th day of May,1954, by the foll~wing vote:
