BE IT RESOLVED:
That a special census of the City of Gilroy be taken as
soon as possible under Federal supervision,that an appLication
to have said census taken be made to the proper authority and/
or authorities, and that the Mayor of the City of Gilroy be, and
he is hereby designated as the official of the City of Gilroy
authorized to sign the f"ormal agreement for the census, and that
a request for the taking of' the census be made by the City Clerk
of the City of Gilroy on behalf of said City of Gilroy" to t~e
U.S.Department of Commerce,Bureau of Census,Washington,D.C.
PASSED and ADOPrED the 24th day of October,1955,by the follow-
ing vote:
