RESOLUTION APPROVING BOND OF PACIFIC GAS ~~ ELECTRIC
COMPANY FOR THE PURPOSES SET FORTH IN ORDINANCE NO.453
WHEREAS on the 16th day o:r June,1947, the Common Council of the
City of Gilroy passed its ordinance granting to the pred~cessor in
interest of Pacific Gas and Electric Company,a California corporaDion,
the franchise to use the public streets and places of said city for
the'bransmission and distribution o,f gas for the purposes,.and upon the
terms and conditions as set forth in said ordinance;and
WHEREAS said Pacific Gas and Electric ~ompany has duly executed
and filed with the Counc~il a bond in the penal sum of One Thousand
($1,000.00) dOl1ars,bearing date the 1st day of January,1956,and
conditioned as prescribed by law;and
WHEREAS upon due investigation and consideration, it appe ars to
the satisfaction of this Council that said bond is in proper form
and that said bond has been duly executed by said Pacific Gas and
Electric Company and by one good and sufficient corporate surety;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Couu.cil of the City
o.f Gilroy that said bond be, and it is hereby accepted and approved,
and it is hereby substituted for the bond heretofore filed in
connection with the granting of said franchise.
PASSED on the 5th day of March, 1956, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Pate,Gallo,Kennedy,Rush,Petersen,Sanchez
NOES: Councilmen None
ABSENT: Councilmen None.
