RESOLVED;
That preliminary determination is hereby made that public
convenience and necessity re1.uire the following improvements
to be made and paid for by special assessments levied upon
the property benefited, and that necessary proceedings should
be taken therefor without compliance with the pro visions of the
Special Aszassment Investigation, !..imitation and f,1ajority)rotest
Act of 1931, to-wita
That steel ligh1;ing standards and streetLights be furnished and
installed in !in improvemerlt district in the City of Gilroy
comprising all of Tract 239, Renz Addition to the City of Gilroy,
and portions of Tracts 1046, Wayland Lane Tract, and Loupe
Northern Addition to the City of Gilroy, as the District is
described and botmded in ,'Iud in accordnnce 1,,-Jith H::te:p:J::;'t of the
City Building Inspector of the City of Gilroy in the matter ~
furnishing and .installation of steel lig..."1ting poles and street
lights for a street li.ghting system for an improvement district
compris LTlg Tro.ct No. 239, Henz Addi tion to t!1C City of G lll'oy, and
portions of Tracts No. 161+6, vlaylandLane Tract, and Loupe
Nnrthern Addition to the Cit:l of Gilroy, in accordance with
'street Lighting Act of 1919', of the E'tat€. of Californian.

p.m. is hereby fixed as the day and hour, an.d the meeting p~ace
of the Common Council located in the City Hall, Gilroy, California.
as the place when and where any and all persmls interested who
have filed a written objection may appear and show cause ~hy the
said Common Council should not find and determine that the Jublic
convenience and necessity require the said proposed publiC'
1mprovemer~t of said street lighting facilities in said proposed
Improvement District, without compliance with the Special
Assessment Investigation, Limitation1.nd I':lajol'ity Protest Act of
1931.
