RESOLUTION NO.412
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR STREET
LIGHTING IN STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT NO.1
RESOLVED,by the Common Council of the City of Gilroy,that
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of gilroy did heretofore
by Resolution No.401 accept the bid of Pacific Gas and Electric
Company for the furnishing and installing of steel street lighting
standards and street lamps within the boundaries of Street Lighting
District No.l,and for supplying electricity for the lighting thereof,
which bid as the lowest, best and only bid received;
WHEREAS, Pacific Gas and Electric Company 'is the only electric
utility capable of supplying the electric service in said bid
provided;
WHEREAS,pursuant to the acceptance of said bid Pacific Gas and '1
Electric Company has submitted a contract,in form annexed jereto,
covering the furnishing of the work and service in said bid [
provided, which form of contract is in accordance with the said
bid and the intention of the parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY FOUND,ORDERED AND DETERMINED:
The'public'~onvenience and necessity require that the :Mayor and
City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed,in the
name of the City of Gilroy and under its seal,to execute said
contraot.
PASSED ,and ADOPTED this 4th da ./: f January,1957 by the following
vote at a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of ..
Gillroy.
AYES: Councilmen Pate,Sanchez,Petersen,Rush,Wentworth
NOES: Councilmen None
ABSENT: Councilman Gallo.
