Resolution 470 , J RESOLUTION NO. ~ 70 RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY RESCINDING ACTION OF THE COUNCIL TAKEN BY MOTION ON JULY 6, 1948 FIXING METHOD OF VALUATING BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING PERMIT FEES AND ORDERING FEES TO BE BASED UPON COSTS AND PRICES IN EFFECT AT 1HE TIME OF ISSUANCE OF PERMIT. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Gilroy has he~etofore and on the 6th day of July, 1948, adopted a motion /V'VI..- to the eftect establiShing prices to be used in the determina- tion of the costs of structures and buildings for the purpose of determining the parmi t fee's to be charged for building permits; and, WHEREAS, the costs of labor and materials required in the construction of buildings have increased substantially since and the adoption of said motion'1this council believes that the fees for building permits should be based upon the costs of the building or other structure at the time of the issuance of the permit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: THAT the said motion and action of the commo4e Council taken as aforesaid on the 6th day of July, 1948, ~, and the /[t.l'lkllfJde.J same is, hereby peee1~ed; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the fees for building permits in the City of Gilroy as set forth in Section 303 of the Building Code be based upon the costs of the structure (::' buildings for which the permit is issued a t the time of t he issuance of the permit. ; .~ . t!/.
