RESOLU'rIOJ~ OF THE CITY OF GILROY
AUTHORIZING TffE MAKING OF SURVEYS .AND THE PREPARATION
OF
PLANS Am SPECll'IGATIQN FOR THE l~W WATER SUPPLY LINE

WHEREAS, the City COUllcil of the City of Gilroy did on. or about
the )rd of September, 1957 decide that certain improvements were
necessary to the City Water System. and
2.
WHEXiAS. Mr. W. J. Banna Jr. of the firm ofW. J. Hanna & Son.
)14 First Street. Gil~oy. Califoraia . is employed in the capacity
of City El~ineer. and
).
WHEREAS. no formal agreement as to terms or rates of charges did
then exist. and in addition no formal action was taken other than
the verbal instrl1ctioDs of the Mqor and the Council to Mr. Hanna
to make such surveys and estimates "I deemed necessary and to pre-
pare Plans and Specifications for such work as the Council approved
for financing and construction. and

NOW. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLV~D. that the City Council of Gilroy did
al1thorize the making of said Surveys. and the Preparation of Plans
and Specifications on or abol1t the Jrd day of September and that
the terms of payment for said services was to be on the basis of
four percent (~) of the :st~mated cost of construction.
