RESOLUTION NO. 590
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING AND APPROVING DECISION OF PLANNING
COMMISSION GRANTING VARIANCE TO WHEELER HOSPITAL ASSOCIA....
TION.
Whereas Wheeler Hospital Association, a corporation, has hereto~
fore filed a verified petition with the Planning Commission of the
City of Gilroy requesting the granting of a variance to permit said
corporation to construct a hospital on the premises owned by it
constituting Block 1, North, Range 7 West, of the City of Gilroy, as
shown on official ,map thereof on file as a record in the office of the
County Recorder, County of Santa Clara, State of California, and to
use its present hospital located on said premises for a convalescent
home, and
WHEREAS the said Planning Commission has duly held a hearing
upon said application after giving due notice thereof, and has adopted
a resolution deciding that the said variance can be granted and author....
izing the granting of the said variance, and said decision has been
reported to the City Councli$ and
WHEREAS no one appeared at the hearing held before the Planning
Commission to object to the granting of said varianCE and it appears
to the City Council that the said variance should be granted and the
decision of the said Planning Commission should be confirmed and approved,
BE IT, THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the said decision and action ~
the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy authorizing the granting of
the said variance be and the same is hereby confirmed and approved and
that a permit forthwith issue authorizing the said Wheeler Hospital
Association to construct a hospital building upon the premises herein-
above described and to use its present hospital facilities for and as a
convalescent home.
