RESOLUTION NO. 80 - 21
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY HONORING JOSEPHINE
"JO" HOCKENBEA1'1ER, RETIRED SENIOR CITIZENS' ADVISORY COUNCIL MEMBER.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to honor JOSEPHINE "JO"
HOCKENBEAtffiR for her many contributions;
WHEREAS, JOSEPHINE HOCKFNBEAMER has faithfully and energetically
served the City and community in many worthwhile activities;
vlliEREAS, her primary service has been with Gilroy Senior Citizen's
Clubs both as sponsor and member giving her time and participation for
the betterment of our Community including, but not limited to the fo110w-
ing:
Organization and charter membership in T'\Thee1er Hospital Auxiliary;
Red Cross Board of Directors, working at Blood Banks and Block
Chairman for all charity drives;
Charter Member of the Catholic Social Services Board of Direc-
tors;
Organizer of Homemakers' Service in South County and served as
financial secretary;
Member of the St. Mary's Parish Council;
Member and Sponsor of first Senior Citizen's Group in Santa
Clara County; and
Charter Member of the Gilroy Senior Citizens' Advisory Council
until the present, always performing her duties conscientiously,
honestly and with the best interests of the City of Gilroy;
WHEREAS, the Gilroy City Council desires to take this opportunity
to commend JOSEPHINE HOCKENBEAMER'S past services to the City and commu-
nity at large.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Gilroy City Council does
hereby commend and honor JOSEPHINE "JO" HOCKENBEAMER for her conscientious

and loyal service to her fellow citizens, her community and the American
way of life.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of February, 1980 by the fo110w-
