RESOLUTION NO. 80 - 32
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRAWING FROM
THE GILROY RURAL FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED
TO THE CITY OF GILROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION "EAST FREm-JAY ANNEXA-
TION 79-5 TO THE CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 17th day of
March, 1980, been annexed to the City of Gilroy" the following des-
cribed property located in the County of Santa Clara, State of
California to wit:
BEING a portion of Parcel 3 as shown on Record of Survey
Map filed for record in Book 69 of Maps at page 17, Records
of Santa Clara County, California, and being more parti-
cularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the northerly line of the
SCVWD R.O.W. as conveyed by deed from Richard
Brem and Marian Brem dated September 28, 1960 and
recorded November 22, 1960 in"' Book 4990 of Offi-
cial Records, page 179, said point of beginning
being also in the westerly line of the first above
referred Parcel 3 and in the easterly line of East
Freeway Annexation 77-2 to the City of Gilroy as
described in Ordinance No. 77-16 of said City
adopted April 18, 1977 and running thence along
the easterly line of said Annexation and the wes-
terly line of said Parcel 3 N. 00 12' 2()" E. 680.55
feet, N. 890 47' 40" 'H. 379.09 feet and N. 00 12'
20" E. 306.08 feet to the northeasterly corner of
said Annexation; thence continuing along the wes-
terly boundary of said Parcel 3 N. 00 12' 20" E.
150.62 feet to the northwesterly corner thereof;
thence along the northerly line of said Parcel 3
S. 89047' 40" E. 1287.78 feet to the northeaster-
ly corner thereof in the line common to Ranchos San
Ysidro and Las Animas as shown on said map; thence
along said Rancho Line and the northeasterly line
of Parcel 3 S. 320 05' E. 1299.90 feet to the nor-
therly line of the above referred SCVWD R.O. W. ;
thence along said northerly line along a non-tan-
gent curve to the left from a tangent bearing of
S. 720 04' 30" W. having a radius of 772.50 feet
through a central angle of 180 07' 50" for a dis-
tance of 244.45 feet; thence N. 890 47' 40" w.
1362.69 feet to the point of beginning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 36.998 acres of land more or less,
and
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy
were at the time of such annexation, included in and Formed a part

of the Gilroy Rural Fire District, and the Council of the City of
Gilroy desires that said territory so annexed be withdrawn from said
fire protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory here-
inbefore described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "EAST
FREEWAY ANNEXATION 79-5 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is
hereby withdrawn from said Gilroy Rural Fire District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of March, 1980 by the
