RESOLUTION NO. 80-59
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY FIXING
FEES AND CHARGES FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR SUBDIVISIONS
AND DEVELOPMENTS.
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended the
following schedule of fees in order to offset the cost of city
services, and good cause appearing therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Gilroy
does hereby declare that the following fees shall apply and be charged
for engineering and other services pursuant to Section 21.53 of the
Gilroy City Code;
1. Subdivision Map Check Fees
A fee equal to 14.02 times the top hourly base pay of
a Junior Civil Engineer, plus 0.21 times said pay rate
times the number of lots in the subdivision, plus $5.00
per sheet of plans.
2. Parcel Map Check Fee
A fee equal to 5.87 times the pay rate in 1. above, plus
0.21 times said pay rate times the number of lots, plus
$5.00 per sheet of plans.
3. Miscellaneous Engineering Services
For other services for which no specific fee has been
imposed including, but not limited to, research,
preparation of agreements, and processing of modifications,
abandonments, reversions, encroachment permits, or
certificates of compliance, a fee equal to 2.1 times
the hours required times the pay rate in 1. above.
4. Fire Hydrant Location Fee
A fee equal to 2.1 times the top hourly base pay of
a fire captain for the first five hydrants, plus one-

tenth of that amount for each additional hydrant.
5. Emergency Service's Fee
For emergency or unscheduled services necessitated by
accidents or hazards related to development, a fee
equal to 2.1 times the hours required times the top
hourly base pay of a Public Works Maintenance II.

this 16th day of June, 1980, to take effect the 1st day of July,
