RESOLUTION NO. 80-74
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GILROY GRANTING PLANNED
UNIT DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL, SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE
WITH THE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND DESIGNS FILED
WITH THE APPLICATION AND THE CONDITIONS IMPOSED
HEREIN, FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THAT 6.1 ACRE PARCEL
LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THIRD STREET
AND WREN AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY has
heretofore filed with the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy
a petition in due form requesting approval for Planned Unit Develop-
ment of 6.1 acres of property located at the northeast corner of
Third Street and Wren Avenue, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy
has given due notice of a public hearing upon the said appli-
cation, in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Gilroy, has held the hearing, and has made its report to the
Council of the City of Gilroy, in which it recommends granting
Planned Unit Development approval, subject to certain conditions,
and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy fixed the 7th
day of July, 1980, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall at 7390 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California,
as the time and place for hearing the said report and recommendation
upon the said application, and notice of the said hearing has been
given in accordance with the said Zoning Ordinance, and a public
hearing has now been held upon the said application before the
Council at the time and place fixed in the said notice and as con-
tinued, and the Council having duly considered the said application
and the evidence presented, the Council does hereby determine:
1. That the Council approves and adopts the findings
of the Planning Commission set forth in its
Resolution No. 80-38.

(a) Conform to the Gilroy General Plan
in terms of general location and
standards of developmento
(b) Provide the type of development which
will fill a specific need of the
surrounding area.
(c) Not require urban services beyond those
which are currently available.
(d) Provide a harmonious, integrated plan
which justifies exceptions, if such are
required, to the normal requirements of
this ordinance.
(e) Reflect an economical and efficient
pattern of land useso
(f) Include greater provisions for land-
scaping and open space than would
generally be required.
(g) Utilize aesthetic design principles to
create attractive buildings and open
areas which blend with the character
of surrounding areas.
(h) Not create traffic congestion, noise,
odor, or other adverse effects on
surrounding areas.
(1) Provide adequate access, parking, land-
scaping, trash areas and storage, as
necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GILROY that Planned Unit Development approval is granted for
the premises described below, subject to the conditions set forth
by the Planning Conunission in its Resolution No. 80-38.

City of Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State
of California, ;described as follows:

Third Street and Wren Avenue, identified as Santa
Clara County Assessor's Parcel No. 808-.08-0003
