PESOLUTION NO. 80 - 81
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRAWING FROM THE
SOUTH SANTA CLARA COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY
ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF GILROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION ""MURRAY AVENUE
ANNEXATION 80-4 TO THE CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 18th day of
August, 1980, been annexed to the City of Gilroy" the following des-
cribed property located in the County of Santa Clara, State of Ca1if-
ornia to wit:
BEING a portion of Lot 5 and 6 as shown on "Hap of the
Subdivision of the Southerly Portion of Las Animas Ranch-
lot 34 and Sub Lot 2", which map is filed for record in
Book "H" of Haps at page 79, Records of Santa Clara County,
California, and being more particularly described as fol-
lows:
BEGINNING at a point in the southwesterly line of Mur-
ray Avenue distant thereon N. 220 20' lv. 79.20 feet
from the intersection thereof with the line common to
Lots 5 and 6, as shown on said map, said point of begin-
ning also being the most easterly corner of the Murray
Avenue Annexation 76-7 to the City of Gilroy as des-
cribed in Ordinance No. 77-5 of the City of Gilroy
adopted February 7, 1977 and in the southwesterly line
of "Murray Avenue, No.1 Annexation 71-8" to the City
of Gilroy as described in Ordinance No. 953 adopted
April 17, 1972 and running thence along the southeast-
erly line of said Annexation 76-7 S. 670 40' W. 752.00
feet to a one inch iron pipe at the most northerly cor-
ner of the lands of Be Ge Manufacturing Company as
shown on Record of Survey as filed for record November
26, 1968 in Book 245 of Maps at page 4, Records of
Santa Clara County; thence along the northeasterly line
of the Lands of Be Ge S. 220 20' E. 264.00 feet to a
point which lies N. 220 20' W. 79.20 feet from the line
common to Lots 5 and 6 as shown on the first above des-
cribed map of Las Animas Ranch lot 34; thence parallel
with the line common to Lots 5 and 6 N. 670 40' E. 752.00
feet to the intersection with the southwesterly line of
Murray Avenue, said point of intersection also being in
the southwesterly line of the "Burke Drive Annexation
69-1 to the City of Gilroy as described in Ordinance No.
852 of the City of Gilroy adopted ~ay 19, 1969 and run-
ning thence along said southwesterly line of ~urray
Avenue and Annexation 69-1 N. 220 20' W. 264.00 feet
to the point of beginning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 4.557 acres more or less, and

WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy
were at the time of such annexation, included in and formed a part
of the South Santa Clara County Fire District, and the Council of the
City of Gilroy desires that said territory so annexed be withdrawn
from said fire protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory here-
inbefore described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "HURRAY
AVENUE ANNEXATION 80-4 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is
hereby withdrawn from said South Santa Clara County Fire District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of August, 1980, by the
following vote:
