RESOLUTION NO. 80 - 88
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL REQUESTING APPROVAL OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS TO
PERMIT A PARADE WITHIN THE CITY OF GILROY.
WHEREAS, Lady of Fatima, Gilroy has requested to hold a
parade on October 5, 1980 at 10:00 o'clock a.m., along the fol10w-
ing route:
The parade route, as proposed will line-up at St. Mary's
Church at 10:00 o'clock a.m. proceed south on Monterey
Street to Fourth Street, north on Eigleberry Street
crossing!First Street, terminating at the point of
beginning at approximately 11:00 o'clock a.m.; and
WHEREAS, the Gilroy Chief of Police shall assume the res-
ponsibility of traffic control during this event; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved this parade and
routing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Gilroy
hereby and respectively requests the permission of the State of
California, Department of Transportation, Division of Hirohways
to allow this parade.
PASSED ~ND ADOPTED this 15th day of September, 1980, by
the following vote:
