RESOLUTION NO. 80 '"" 110
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY HONORING AND
COMMENDING SERVICES OF DR. ROBERT INFELISE, DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT,
UPON HIS RETIREMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to honor DR.
ROBERT INFELISE for his many contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, DR. ROBERT INFELISE has been the Superintendent
of the Gilroy Unified School District since July 1, 1969 and intends
to retire from that position officially on November 30, 1980; and
WHEREAS, DR. ROBERT INFELISE has served for the past four
(4) years as a Member of the Senior Citizens' Advisory Council and has
been instrumental in various programs for the Gilroy Senior Citizens,
particularly, but not limited to the Foster Grand-Parent Program; and
WHEREAS, it is through DR. INFELISE'S outstanding efforts
in creating a liaison with the School District and the City of Gilroy
that has proved for the betterment of our community; and
WHEREAS, through DR. INFELISE'S very positive attitude
toward joint facility uses and through his School District's coopera-
tion with the City, has realized numerous successful recreation pro-
grams for all the citizens of Gilroy; and
WHEREAS, the Gilroy City Council desires to take this op-
portunity to commend DR. ROBERT INFELISE'S efforts to our Community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Gilroy City Council
does hereby commend and honor DR. ROBERT INFELISE for his conscientious
and loyal service to his fellow citizens, community and country and
wish him every continual success in his future endeavors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of November, 1980, by the
following vote:
