RESOLUTION NO. 77-28
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL REQUESTING APPROVAL OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, DIVISION OF HIGH1TAYS TO
PERMIT A PARADE WITHIN THE CITY OF GILROY.
WHEREAS, the Gavilan College (Student Senate) has reque~ted
to hold a parade on May 21, 1977 at 9:30 a.m., along the following
route:
The parade route, as proposed will begin at Eigleberry
Street at First Street, then proceed west on First
Street (Route 152) to Wren Avenue and terminate at that
location; and
WHEREAS, the Gilroy Chief of Police shall assume the
responsibility of traffic control during this event; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved this parade and
routing.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the City of Gilroy hereby
and respectively requests the permission of the State of California,
Department of Transportation, Division of Highways to allow this
parade.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of March, 1977 by the
following vote:
